SnappyWare Time Tracker

Time Tracker is an application designed to track how much time an individual spends on individual tasks. We have designed and built such applications in the past under contract for other companies. This project will capitalize on that experience to create a ShareWare application which will be sold by us.

The initial version will be designed for an individual user. They will be able to setup project and task lists within the program for which time should be tracked. Be default time will be allocated in 15 minute blocks and each time record can include a category in addition to a project and task assignment. Categories are optional but can be used to track different types of work (design, implementation, debugging) or different billing rates as desired by the user. The application will live in the Windows Tray for easy accessibility. The user interface will be very streamlined allowing the user to log switching tasks very rapidly with a minimum of effort. Basic reports will be available to document time by project, by task, by category and by time period (day, week, month).

Future versions will be developed to provide time tracking for multiple individuals such as project teams, corporate departments, etc.

The personal version is in initial development for use by our own staff, which makes this a somewhat higher priority project than most.
